Living in a setting surrounded by a nature preserve enhances an appreciation for the environment around us. At Quinn’s Crossing, landscaping protocols are based around the use of native and drought tolerant plantings that enhance and complement the surrounding environment. Many Northwest native plants make beautiful specimens as well as adapting to garden use with less need for watering and constant care. Soils have been amended with organic compost, and homeowners will be encouraged toward a culture of continued organic landscaping, including a ban on the use of certain harmful pesticides and herbicides. To protect air-quality, outdoor burning of trash, wood and yard waste will be prohibited. This all adds up to a healthier, fresher, more pleasant neighborhood for everyone!
